SOLFEO MUSIC ACADEMY LESSON POLICIES:

Course Materials and books:  For certain lessons, course materials and books may be required in order for the student to obtain the best possible learning instruction.  It is the responsibility of the parent or student to purchase required course materials when applicable.  We have a selection of course materials and books available for purchase at the Academy.

Payment of Fees:  Fees must be paid on or before the first day of lessons. Cash, credit card, debit, email transfer or cheques (postdated) will be accepted.  All charges will appear on your bank account statement as being from Solfeo Music Academy.  NSF cheques will be charged a $45.00 NSF fee and late fee of $10.00 on debit if not paid by the 1stof the month.

Registration Fee:  A non-refundable registration fee of $35.00 is required at the time of registration.

Please note:  your lessons will commence after we receive completed paper work and full payment for lessons.

Late Students:  Due to the fact that our classes are scheduled back to back, we are unable to make up time for students who arrive late for their lesson.  Please arrive at least 5 minutes before lesson time and be prepared for your lesson.

Missed Lessons:  The office must be notified when lessons are going to be missed.  No refunds are given for missed lessons.  You may send a friend or a family member to fill your appointed lesson time (need to provide their own instrument where applicable) and you must notify the office at least 2 hours prior to the lesson.  This can be used for up to three lessons.  No make-up lessons will be offered.

Substitutions:  The Academy reserves the right to provide a substitute teacher if the regularly scheduled teacher is ill or otherwise unable to teach classes.

Withdrawal Policy:  Should you wish to withdraw from a class, four weeks’ notice from the first of the month is required to discontinue lessons.  Notice of the withdrawal must be written and given to the Academy administration – not with a teacher.  To withdraw from classes a parent or adult student must:

  1. Inform the Academy administration in writing,

  2. Complete and sign a withdrawal form provided by the Academy office.

  3. Any postdated cheques will be returned.

If four weeks’ notice from the first of the month is not received, the next month will be charged in full regardless of end date.

Photo release:  The Academy is hereby granted permission to take photographs or video of the students to use in brochures, websites, posters, advertisements and other promotional materials the Academy creates.  Permission is also hereby granted for the Academy to copyright such photographs in its name.

Classes fill on a first come first served basis and your space NOT be held until your registration form and fees are received.)
